15 of The Best GPTs Available Today

04 January 2024

Posted in: Digital Marketing

By now, most of us are familiar with ChatGPT and its seemingly limitless uses. Sometimes though, the boundless possibilities offered by OpenAI’s wonder tool can leave you feeling dumbstruck. It’s the blank page effect — a creative block manifested in the face of infinite creative options.

Enter GPTs; tailor-made versions of ChatGPT that anyone (provided they’re using ChatGPT premium) can use, create, and share with the world. And because GPTs are built in the same way they’re operated — through natural language, rather than code — there’s already a huge library of remarkably useful (and downright fun) GPTs available to try.

Below, you’ll discover 15 of my personal favourites. Some of them are practical, others just for fun, but all of them are worth giving a go.

1: Logo Creator

Perhaps you’ve suddenly opened an ice cream store but you’ve forgotten about your shop’s branding, or you’re due to release the much-anticipated Xbox 720 but you foolishly spent all your marketing budget back in 2009, paying YouTubers to feature your console in their video leaks. In any case, this GPT can help.

Here’s my homage to the console that never was. Slightly more beige than I would’ve liked, but an impressive first draft!

Just describe what you’re looking for, and answer a few simple questions, and voilà, you too can claim to be a graphic designer.

2. Consensus

Want some evidence to back up your theories? Consensus provides exactly that. A fact-dispensing research assistant, this GPT is an ideal writing companion and research assistant. Take a look at the prompt we fed it below:

And here’s Consensus’ answer:

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is crucial for businesses in the ecommerce sector for several reasons:

  • Evolving Importance: SEO has evolved from a simple task to a complex activity as competition increases and search engines improve their algorithms. It’s now an important internet marketing concept for ecommerce businesses (Bezhovski, 2015).
  • Impact on Success: Implementing white hat SEO techniques improves a website’s organic ranking with leading search engines, significantly influencing the success of ecommerce businesses (Mittal, Kirar, & Meena, 2018).
  • Business Profit and Marketing Costs: SEO techniques like directory submission, keyword generation, and link exchanges are essential for increasing business profit and minimizing marketing costs (Akram et al., 2010).
  • Brand Awareness and Sales: On-page optimization is crucial for increasing sales and improving brand awareness by ranking higher in search engine results (Parikh & Deshmukh, 2015).
  • Visibility and Traffic: SEO improves the visibility, volume, and quality of traffic to a website, making it essential for ecommerce businesses to optimize their online presence (O’Neill & Curran, 2011).
  • Online Advertisement: SEO competitiveness, experience, and techniques are significant factors in online advertisement for ecommerce businesses, especially in a market like Jordan (Khraim, 2015).
  • Global Digital Marketing Strategy: SEO plays a critical role in digital marketing strategies for organizations globally (Iredale & Heinze, 2016).

In conclusion, SEO is a vital component for ecommerce businesses, affecting their visibility, brand awareness, sales, and overall success in the digital marketplace.

It’s important to check the sources it provides — just like vanilla ChatGPT, Consensus can get things wrong — but on the whole, it’s a remarkably useful tool, especially if you’re looking to save time on gathering references or compiling statistics at scale.

3. Lego Box Generator

I love this one. Sure, we’ll stick it in the ‘just for fun’ category, but with a little ‘out the box’  thinking (no pun intended), there’s no reason why you couldn’t use this GPT for a clever digital marketing campaign, or at the very least, a LinkedIn meme.

Here’s one we made earlier:

When you hire a Lego intern, you know they’ll never ‘block’ your progress! Right? Right guys?!

4. ConvertAnything

ConvertAnything isn’t flashy or fun, it’s functional. It does just what you’d expect — it converts anything: images, audio, videos, PDFs, you name it. It also supports batch uploads, and using it is as simple as browsing for a file, hitting send, and downloading your new file via a link.

5. Bloggy

ChatGPT already does a pretty decent job when it comes to writing blogs, but its major stumbling block seems to be around tone and style. Working with OpenAI’s bog-standard bot setup, it can take quite a bit of work to generate something genuinely valuable and worth reading for your audience.

Bloggy solves this problem by drawing artistic inspiration from whichever website you command it to, adopting the same writing voice and style, and applying it to the content it generates for you. It’ll identify the site’s target audience, goals, and tone, and craft a blog based on these factors.

6. Code Companion Turbo

First off, let me preface this entry by confessing that I can’t code. While I did make a half-hearted attempt to learn HTML, Javascript, and CSS, I have retained about as much knowledge of these languages as I have of my GCSE French.

If you’re more Joe Bloggs than Steve Jobs, Coding Companion Turbo can help. Give it a general idea of what you’re after, and it should spit out some workable code, along with an explanation of how the code works — ideal if you’re learning the ropes and don’t fancy pestering a human programmer!

Here’s the code:

HTML
<div class=”cube”>

    <div class=”face front”></div>

    <div class=”face back”></div>

    <div class=”face right”></div>

    <div class=”face left”></div>

    <div class=”face top”></div>

    <div class=”face bottom”></div>

</div>

CSS

.cube {

    position: relative;

    width: 200px;

    height: 200px;

    transform-style: preserve-3d;

    animation: rotateCube 5s infinite linear;

}

.face {

    position: absolute;

    width: 200px;

    height: 200px;

    border: 2px solid red;

    opacity: 0.5;

}

.front  { transform: rotateY(0deg)    translateZ(100px); }

.back   { transform: rotateY(180deg)  translateZ(100px); }

.right  { transform: rotateY(90deg)   translateZ(100px); }

.left   { transform: rotateY(-90deg)  translateZ(100px); }

.top    { transform: rotateX(90deg)   translateZ(100px); }

.bottom { transform: rotateX(-90deg)  translateZ(100px); }

@keyframes rotateCube {

    from {

        transform: rotateX(0deg) rotateY(0deg);

    }

    to {

        transform: rotateX(360deg) rotateY(360deg);

    }

}

And finally, here’s Code Companion Turbo’s explanation of the code it provided:

Cube Container: The .cube class defines the 3D space and applies the animation.

Cube Faces: Each .face represents a side of the cube. They are absolutely positioned within the container and given a border to create the wireframe effect.

Transformations: The transformations position each face of the cube and the @keyframes animation (rotateCube) applies a continuous rotation around both the X and Y axes.

This code will create a rotating wireframe cube with red edges. You can adjust the size, color, and rotation speed by modifying the relevant CSS properties.

7. PlaylistAI

If you’re anything like me, you’ll struggle to work at 100% efficiency without the perfect playlist to soundtrack your day. Sometimes though, the same, tired old tunes just won’t cut it. You need something fresh, but there’s no time left in your busy schedule to create a whole new playlist. What to do?

PlaylistAI solves this problem by generating a completely new playlist for you, just give it a brief description of the vibe you’re seeking. The results? Well, they’re actually rather good!

8. Emoji Generator

This GPT will generate an emoji based on any prompt you provide. I put it through its paces, and I’ve got to say, it’s pretty impressive. Here’s my own creation — a dog unblocking a toilet:

Finally, the emoji we’ve all been waiting for.

9. Thumbnail Sketcher

Tired of using royalty-free images for your blog thumbnails? This GPT creates unique blog-friendly images in a flash. So, if you’ve written an article on the best pie shops in Britain, for example, just let this GPT know, and you’ll end up with something like this:

10. Cold Mail

This GPT helps you to craft customised cold emails — just feed it your offer’s URL, and the URL of the customer’s website. Of course, this isn’t the perfect solution — Cold Mail’s outputs will still require a little human intervention to be truly viable, but it’s an ideal tool for jumpstarting the process!

11. Briefly

Brevity is the soul of wit, so if you struggle with verbosity, use Briefly. This clever little GPT slims down the length of any text you give it while retaining its meaning. See it in action here:

12. Color Palette Pro

Want an aesthetically appealing thematically consistent color palette tailored to your specific creative needs? Color Palette Pro can help. Ideal if you’re building a website, brainstorming for a new brand, or even redecorating your house.

13. Grimoire

Grimoire is an all-in-one tool that allows you to build websites or applications more easily by providing both guidance and the code you need to get started. It’s ideal for small projects — just don’t expect to build the next Facebook through it. I particularly like how Grimoire asks plenty of questions throughout the process, project managing the session bit by bit.

14. AutoExpert (General Better Answers)

Some folks have lamented ChatGPTs tendency to give vague answers. AutoExpert mitigates this by simulating a panel of experts to answer questions more thoroughly. Plus, it doesn’t just stop at one answer – it will even supplement each response with five different ways to dive deeper into a topic until you’re satisfied. So, no more of those default, “I don’t know” responses from ChatGPT.

15. Youtube Summarizer

Sick and tired of spending 45 minutes watching one YouTube video just to find an answer to a simple question? YouTube Summarizer is the answer. It provides a detailed summary of the video, analysing the whole script, and even allows you to “chat” with the contents of the video. Perfect for lengthy TED Talks, or drawn-out instructional videos.
