Seeker is growing, and we’ve made a number of talented new hires recently to help us continually deliver for our clients. One such hire is Amy, our newest member of the outreach team.

We sat down with Amy to learn a little about who she is, what led her to a role in digital, and what she likes to do when she’s not at work. Enjoy!

Tell us a little about your background before Seeker

I graduated from Newcastle University in 2020 after studying an integrated masters in Chemistry—I know, not the most conventional route into digital marketing.

What drew you to digital marketing?

I was working for a craft drink startup after leaving university, and this sparked my interest in marketing and how consumers behave. Coupled with the more data-driven aspects of SEO and outreach, digital marketing seemed the perfect fit.

How has the transition been into digital?

It’s been a big learning curve for me, but very enjoyable! It’s been especially rewarding learning lots of new skills and meeting lots of great people.

What advice would you give someone doing the same? Would you recommend a role in digital to others?

The advice I would give people is, just go for it! Even if you’re like me and your past education doesn’t necessarily match up, as long as the interest and the willingness to learn is there you’ll be fine. I would absolutely recommend a role in digital to others!

What’s the most interesting part of your role?

Currently, I’m enjoying the ideation aspect of my campaigns. I’ve found it really interesting researching the client and coming up with possible angles we could approach the project.

What kind of thing are you working on right now?

I’ve been working on an interesting campaign around saunas and the health benefits of spas.

How have you found the Seeker vibe?

Amazing! I couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming bunch of people. In my first week, the outreach team all met up for a drink on the harbour, which was lovely. There’s always little coffee outings during the week when we’re in the office, such a great working atmosphere.

What would your dream brands to work with be?

I would absolutely love to work with some french fashion brands, maybe something along the lines of Sézane or Rouje. Or to be honest, anything food-related.

That’s enough about work! What do you like to do outside of work hours?

I mainly spend most of my time outside of work chilling with friends, eating and drinking. I also love cooking, mainly homemade pesto pasta.

Thanks, Amy! We’re looking forward to seeing what the next few years have in store for you—welcome to Seeker!
